A God of my own choosing. That was funky for me for awhile. Now it seems silly to have felt that way. Clearly I’ve grown...into what I’m not sure yet 🤷🏻♂️
Love this perspective so much. My friend’s higher power is a nonexistent koala named Kevin. This helps her acknowledge that she needs something to external to gain perspective but also be lighthearted and fun with the approach. 🐨
Thanks Tawny!..and I love the way, "a nonexistent koala named Kevin" not only fires up the imagination machinery but also how that line just rolls off the tongue ; )
Thank you for sharing that Tawny! Spirituality embraces all forms because it knows that underneath it all is only one reality. One energy expressing itself in a multitude of ways. Physical representations can be whatever we need them to be if it is u ultimately helping us feel more connected. Is there a particular image you use to connect more deeply to something beyond yourself?
Thank you for taking the time to share your wisdom Randal. You’re regular writing efforts don’t go unnoticed. You are doing an amazing job. It takes courage to share your truth and I see you.
Along my healing and medicine journey I’ve realised that most problems come from being too much in my head. Getting lost in the beliefs and the conditioning I have about how life is “supposed” to be vs listening to my intuition. That quiet voice that doesn’t use words. Coming home to that and giving it space really helps guide me through life and I have sought out answers for my life in my own, in my own time. The journey of a truth seeker isn’t fixed, it is dynamic. Constantly moving and shifting with the life current of life 🙏🏽
Vipul, thank you so much for your kind words! Your sharing here is greatly appreciated 🙏 And yes, I love, "That quiet voice that doesn't use words." I don't quite yet know how to explain it to myself, much less articulate it to another, but...I'd love to have a conversation about this kind of Soul Wisdom with a brain-scientist-psychiatrist/ smart person - and the ways that I "know" truth when I sense it...but not through the regular 5 sense pathways. Even sometimes, cross-sense pathways...like "feeling colors" or seeing with my fingers when I'm doing bodywork, etc. May the currents of your life by flowing with grace & ease!
Words are a funny thing. By trying to articulate that which is ineffable automatically diminishes it’s true nature. We can try to use words to describe the invisible and infinite but it is best left unsaid - felt in the silence instead. Some things are best left unexplained 😜
"The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao" : ) I love that that's the first line...but...next, here's a bunch of beautiful words because it's the best we can do
Morning Randal! I woke up this morning feeling the nudge to share with you that you’d enjoy reading my poetry book “Searching in Silence”. The first chapter explores the question “Who Am I?” and I playfully use words to express the infinite silence that we’re discussing here.
Here’s a snippet:
“The boy sat quietly in bed one evening and reflected on the concept on God.
It seemed everyone thought of God as a man sitting in a room upstairs in the sky watching over us at all times from birth to death. And then we either meet him or we go to meet his enemy, the devil.
But the boy felt this idea was rather odd.
If there was a man in the sky why could no one see him? And why is he called “him” and not “her”?
Then a thought entered his heart:
What if God wasn’t a person after all, but an experience inside each of us?
A great feeling of joy gushed into his veins as he tasted a glimpse of who he really was.”
If you feel called to you can buy it on Amazon 😊🙏🏽

Thanks Dee! Yup, it can be "funky for awhile" - and how wonderful to be reminded that we've grown - and still are ; )
Exciting times for you Dee as you explore beyond your existing conditioning... where your truth will be found 🙏🏽

Thanks for this Vipul, I love the idea of "God as experience" ; ) Indeed
Agreed! Words are a beautiful thing that can evoke the feeling of the infinite...
