When was the last time you had a good, healthy weep?
Like the expression of some other emotions, grief is not the most welcome guest into our normal everyday lives.
It breaks the rhythm of regularity, causes interference into “getting things done” and besides, other people just do not know how to react.
So, it’s better to pack it away, stuff it deep down, maybe even toss it to the bottom of the well and let’s just try to forget about it.
Of course, this does not work. Not in the long-run, anyway, and not in the work of recovery.
We’ll need to go down there, to the bottom of that well, and drink “the secret water, cold and clear” to access the power that lies in the expression of grief.
