In Traditional Chinese Medicine, there is an organ system known as the Pericardium.

Like its Western counterpart, it holds all of the functions of protecting the physical heart from disease and disharmony.

But there’s more.

The Pericardium is also the Heart’s Protector from all other forms of mental, spiritual and emotional injuries. So, you can imagine that it has quite a job to do in our addiction work, as well as our recovery.

It most certainly does.

And the simple, yet powerful, model that it offers us to do this is an easy one to understand and apply.
